Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what information SizeMyGenerator collects through its contact and generator-planning forms and how that information is used.

Information we collect

• Contact requests: Name, email address, optional phone number, reason for contacting, message, and contact consent.
• Generator-planning requests: First name, email address, ZIP code, purchase timeline, type of help requested, optional phone number, optional project notes, contact consent, and any installer-introduction choice.
• Submission context: The form type, source page, source topic, and site name are submitted with each form so we can understand the request.
• Technical submission information: When a form is submitted, Basin receives information associated with the request, including the IP address, page or referring URL, and browser user-agent. Basin uses this information to process the submission, record its source, and detect abuse.

Calculator information and browser storage

The calculator stores its current inputs and settings in local storage in the visitor’s browser so the calculator can restore them later. That calculator state is not automatically included in either form. It is sent only if a visitor chooses to type calculator or project details into a form field.

How we use information

• Review and respond to contact and generator-planning requests.
• Understand which page and topic led to a request.
• Make installer introductions only when the visitor affirmatively selects the installer-introduction option.

Form processing and retention

Forms are transmitted directly from the visitor’s browser to Basin, which processes and stores submissions on behalf of SizeMyGenerator. Basin sends submission notifications to the site operator’s email service. Submissions may therefore remain in Basin and in notification emails until they are deleted. SizeMyGenerator has not established a fixed retention period.

Installer introductions

SizeMyGenerator does not automatically share form submissions with installers or providers. If a visitor affirmatively selects the optional installer-introduction checkbox, the visitor agrees that the request and contact information may be shared with up to three local generator installers or providers. Without that selection, the information is not shared for an installer introduction. Opting in does not guarantee that a provider is available or that an introduction will be made.

Sales, analytics, advertising, and cookies

SizeMyGenerator does not sell personal information. The site currently has no analytics service, display-advertising scripts, affiliate-link tracking, or paid provider listings. The site does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. Basin’s form-processing service receives the form and technical submission information described above when a form is submitted.

Access, correction, or deletion requests

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information submitted through a form, email bill@sizemygenerator.com. Include enough detail for us to identify the relevant submission.
